A Little Of Poetry
Rhonda
There are many variations of poetry. Just like how each poet is different in what they write or express. Being a poet doesn't mean you have to be famous, a poet could be an ordinary person or even be anonymous or in some cases, use a fake name to avoid attention and publicity. Poetry can be read in books and online. They can be short, they can be long, and even creative, like a concrete poem which is a poem that is made into the shape of an object or being. Poems can carry the beauty that a poet sees, the pain sadness they felt, the anger and pain they endured, their feeling of love in their heart, or even the inspiration that pushes them for bigger and greater, and so much more. Poetry can express much more than a simple thought and can be written and even show in multiple ways. What makes a poet unique is not what they can simply write it is what they can feel or see and they can show it. Here I'll show a couple of poems.
This is a popular poem made by Maya Angelou. A famous poet, best selling author, actress, playwright, and even director and producer. This poem tells that a women doesn't have to be all looks to be "phenomenal".
This poem here explains how the poet describes his visual in the beauty in a swan. You may notice how it looks different from regular poems. That is because this is called a 'concrete' poem, meaning that the poem is in the shape of what the poet is trying to express and give a visual to the reader.
The poem here tells of how choosing a different way or 'path' that other or not many choose can lead to so much possibility and potential. The image also matches the poem well. As you can see the traveler going down a path while the one to the left of it sees to be frequently choose, judging by the resent tire tracks.
This is robber Frost a American poet who is known for his realistic descriptions of rural life and colloquial American speech through out his poems.
Shel Silverstein is an American poet, song-writer, cartoonist, screenwriter, and author for children's books. He has made many poems for children including "Sara Cynthia Stout."
Here are some more poems that poets have written in many other expressions.

I give thanks to all who are curious about poetry and gave time to read a small taste of these examples. Also I hope these give at least a better understanding of poetry a little bit and to continue researching if interested.
So for now enjoy this small video of cuteness!
